Lifeline Childline Namibia has been approved by Ministry of Gender Equality Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare as a Child protection Agency, receiving its status in June 2021, according to the Child Care and Protection Act (CCPA) 3 of 2015, regulation 4. In March 2022 the organisation received its designation certificate as per section 33 of the said Act. Child protection is intrinsically linked to creating a child safe organisation. The organisation has a child protection policy and accompanying procedures detailing how child protection concerns will be handled.
